In a letter to S. S. McClure, 1895 Dec 13, Dickens desires to supply an American newspaper or newspaper syndicate with a weekly London letter on any subject of general interest except politics. In a follow-up letter, 1896 Jan 24, he discusses his ideas in detail. A magazine photograph of Dickens is attached to the first letter.
